Sunday school

Sunday School meets from 9:45—10:45am each Sunday in the lower level (unless otherwise noted*)

Classes for children and youth also meet during this time.

Each of our classes provides a unique community that is seeking to know God and grow in faith together.

We hope you will explore these classes or speak to one of our ministry staff about beginning something new!

Children’s Sunday School

Sunday School is an ideal place and time for our children to grow both in their knowledge and love of God through scripture but also in their sense of belonging to the church community.  Our children’s classes (Age 3 through 5th grade) are led by teaching teams of 4 persons who provide consistency and knowledgeable care for our children while giving them flexibility in their schedules.

Our classes (now including our nursery children) have been using Spark Lectionary based curriculum for a number of years with the intention of providing connections between Sunday School and worship for a more holistic experience of the day’s scripture.

Our children’s Sunday School currently includes:  On the main level–Nursery (age 0-2) and Preschool 3-4/Pre-K, On the upper level–K-2nd Grade and 3rd-5th Grade.

Special Friends is a loving, spirited class for mentally challenged adults led by Dick and Judy Hargett.  They love to sing, share Bible stories, fellowship, and worship together.  They use Access curriculum to guide their growth as followers of Jesus.

Seekers is a class for young adults and families with young children.  Jim and Becky Aldermen are mentors for this group as they begin their second year growing together.  They are kicking off this year at the beginning, with an Immersion Bible Study on the book of Genesis with the hopes of deepening their understanding of scripture.
